Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2025 · Eventir Ltd, United Kingdom

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Eventir platform operated by Eventir Ltd ("Eventir", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. By using Eventir — whether as an attendee purchasing tickets or an organiser listing events — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. The platform

Eventir is a ticketing platform for small, community-led events. We provide the technology for organisers to sell tickets and for attendees to purchase them. Eventir is not the organiser of any event listed on the platform and is not responsible for the content, quality, safety, or cancellation of any event.

2. Attendee terms

2.1 Purchasing tickets

When you buy a ticket, you are entering into a contract with the event organiser, not with Eventir. Your payment is processed securely by Stripe. You will receive a confirmation email with your QR-code ticket(s) within minutes of purchase.

2.2 Refunds and cancellations

Refund policies are set by each organiser and displayed on the event page before purchase. If an event is cancelled by the organiser, you are entitled to a full refund of the face value of your ticket. Booking fees are non-refundable unless required by law. Eventir will facilitate refunds on behalf of the organiser where instructed.

2.3 Ticket use

Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless the organiser states otherwise. Do not share your QR code before the event — each code is single-use and will be invalidated on scan. Eventir accepts no liability for tickets that are duplicated or shared by the original purchaser.

2.4 Entry

Admission to the event is at the organiser's discretion. Eventir is not responsible if you are refused entry for reasons within the organiser's control (e.g. age policy, capacity).

3. Organiser terms

3.1 Eligibility

To list events, you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and provide accurate account information. You must be 18 or older and legally permitted to organise and sell tickets for the events you list.

3.2 Event listings

You are responsible for the accuracy of all event information including date, time, venue, capacity, age restrictions, and ticket descriptions. Misleading or false listings may result in immediate removal and account suspension. Eventir reserves the right to remove any listing without notice.

3.3 Fees

Eventir charges a booking fee paid by the attendee on top of the face value price you set. There is no monthly subscription fee. Eventir retains a platform fee from each transaction as detailed in the fee schedule displayed in your dashboard. You receive the net proceeds via Stripe Connect, typically within 2–5 business days of the event date.

3.4 Prohibited events

You may not list events that:

  • Are illegal or promote illegal activity.
  • Involve unlicensed sale of alcohol or controlled substances.
  • Incite hatred on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability.
  • Infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Are fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise harmful to attendees.

3.5 Cancellations

If you cancel an event, you must notify Eventir immediately at hello@eventir.co.uk. Attendees will be entitled to full refunds of face value. You remain liable for any losses Eventir incurs as a result of processing those refunds.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data without written permission.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or otherwise attempt to damage platform infrastructure.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

5. Intellectual property

The Eventir name, logo, and platform design are owned by Eventir Ltd. You retain ownership of content you upload (event images, descriptions) but grant Eventir a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform and in marketing materials relating to your event.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventir's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the booking fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss of profit claims. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes acceptance. We will always give at least 14 days' notice of material changes affecting organisers.
